Dr Ram Rajasekharan

Dr Ram Rajasekharan, a distinguished plant biologist and food technologist, previously served as director of the Central Food Technological Research Institute (CFTRI), part of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research.

His expertise lies in plant lipid metabolism and he held a prestigious professorship at the Indian Institute of Science.

He is an elected fellow of the Indian Academy of Sciences, National Academy of Sciences, India, Indian National Science Academy, and the National Academy of Agricultural Sciences.
